The World of Macro Photography
Alex Hyde
The Photography Experts audience is full of so many wonderful photographers, but we think that we and many others have neglected the small stuff! So we are on a mission to get everyone to consider shooting macro more often and have got the perfect photographer to encourage that, - Alex Hyde.
With a macro lens on your camera, the world is full of mind-bending natural forms, vibrant colours and unexpected opportunities, so if you are in the back garden, on safari, shooting landscapes or diving underwater, we want you to think creative macro when perhaps you would overlook the wonderful small world all around.

Alex will introduce you to a stunning array of subjects he has discovered during his travels, from the cloud forest of Ecuador to the alpine meadows of the European Alps, along with plenty from his own back garden, too, where he carries out much of his work. question-and-answer
Whilst there are many technical aspects to consider in macro photography such as off-camera lighting and focus stacking, Alex will guide you through his simple approach to getting intimate captures of insects, spiders and other tiny subjects. Learn how best to go about hand-held macro, following insects through their busy lives without the burden of a tripod to slow your style. Discover where to look for your next stunning subject, from slime moulds to jumping spiders and many other less-encountered subjects too.
This presentation will include a helpful amount of technical information and a full Question and Answer session.
The event will be recorded and a link for playback will be sent to all registrants
