At Photography Experts, we have long admired the wonderful images we see regularly posted by Nelis Wolmarans, friends told us he was a great guy and when we received from an attendee of our events yet another recommendation we set about contacting him... and we are so glad we did. Nelis was incredibly passionate about his craft hugely enthusiastic and just a pleasure to chat photography and creating iconic images with. We are pleased to showcase Nelis and his work at a COMPLIMENTARY EVENT and we are exceptionally excited for his first showcase event on the most enigmatic of subjects Gorillas. Nelis is a professional guide and internationally acclaimed award-winning photographer, with an impressive career in conservation and safari-related fields. He has a particular passion for photography, and his outstanding images are widely published around the world. Nelis has a wonderful talent for capturing and expressing the soul of his subjects in a way that truly reflects his deep understanding of Africa and its wildlife, which he has studied and protected throughout his years as a guide and conservationist. Amongst other accolades, the award which he is most proud of is winning the Grand Prize in the 2018 Nature’s Best Photography – Windland Smith Rice International Awards photo competition, hosted by the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington DC. Nelis realised from an early age that his interests lay in conservation and wildlife, and he has built up a wealth of experience during his twenty-one years of lodge management, wildlife relocation and anti-poaching work in South Africa, Rwanda and Kenya, and extensive guiding across southern , east and Central Africa. An in-depth knowledge of animal behaviour gives him an almost uncanny ability to anticipate the perfect photographic opportunity. Photography Experts bring you the very best photographers who excel at their craft but also deliver a top-quality Web presentation that is as entertaining as it is informative. In each presentation the Expert not only shares their stunning imagery with you but the detail of where and how the image was taken, they will give you their own personal insights on composition and settings not available anywhere else in this format. We seriously recommend registration and participation in the live event for the chance to ask questions directly yourself or listen to the answers they give to other participants. Only registrants to the live event will have access to the Q&A content as well as being given a 72 hour post event streaming of the event, so even if for some reason you are unable to attend you still get to see the full event.
