The Laikipia region of Kenya suffered a desperate drought a few years ago that saw the Wild Dog population decimated by distemper; a sole surviving Alpha female formed a pack with two younger nomad Males -The Phoenix pack was born and today the pack is up to over 20 individuals with the Alpha female once again pregnant and ready to den.
